Comparasion among the Stain Methods for the Detection of HBsAg

Abstract

|
The presence of the ground glass cell in HㆍE stain of the liver needle biopsy specimen, means the presence of HBsAg in hepatocytes. But, it can more helpful to use the special staining methods for HBsAg. Orcein or victoria blue staining is for elastics fibers and shows positive reaction in other inflammatory conditions. So it is not specific methods for HBsAg detection. Comparative to these methods, APAAP method using the antigen-antibody principle, is very specific. Here we apply the each methods to the materials and we compare with each methods.
